Hello and welcome to Adrenaline Gaming Zone's official coverage of the E3 Media & Business Summit. My name is Cyril Lachel and you may know me from my incredibly influential (!) work over at Defunct Games. Over the next few days I will be traveling south from Washington State to beautiful sunny southern California for our industry's biggest (and longest running) American-based trade show.
So what should you expect? Over the next few days I will be attending all of the major press conferences (including Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft), talking with all of the movers and shakers and, most importantly, getting my hands on all of the best games at the show. We're talking about everything from Street Fighter IV to Spore to Mercenaries 2 to whatever Nintendo surprises us with. It's going to be a hectic and crazy week here at AGZ.
Obviously AGZ isn't going to be the only site covering this year's E3. Of course you're going to be reading about these games and announcements on tons of other websites, but when you're done with that you should still come back and see what AGZ has to say. For one thing we're going to have an opinionated guide to a bunch of games, so you won't be getting just the usual previews and boring press releases. Instead you will get real opinions of what we thought of all of the demos on the show floor.
And that's not all; you should also come back because you can officially affect my coverage. That's right; you can leave comments and questions on these stories. Is there something you want to know about Street Fighter IV that I didn't cover? Feel free to ask, if I don't know I'll take it directly to Capcom. Afraid I'm not going to be covering the right games? Tell me what you want to see and I'll make sure and talk about it. This is your guide; I'm just your liaison to this invite-only show.
E3 officially kicks off on Tuesday; however you'll definitely want to come back every day leading up to it and see what I have to say about my travels. Plus, you can leave me comments and questions all weekend long and I'll add it to my to-do list. Then come back on Monday night and see what I thought about Microsoft's press conference. Will they announce a motion-sensing control? Will we learn about an Xbox handheld? Will they actually show us something about Alan Wake? These questions and more will be answered this coming Monday on Adrenaline Gaming Zone.
In the mean time feel free to post a comment below or send me an email at loser@defunctgames.com. I guarantee that I'll be reading each and every one of your comments and questions, so this really will be your chance to affect this E3 coverage.
